The information in an ORU message is primarily held in the Results store, which stores the entire laboratory report and its associated results. In addition, some of the laboratory report metadata is also maintained in the Document Services module, which serves as a single query interface for the different laboratory report types stored in CDR.
Orion Health solutions only process the following Unsolicited Observation (ORU^R01) message types:

Messages containing segments that are not defined here are accepted but the order and structure of the segments must conform to the HL7 2.5.1 standard. However, only the data from the segments that are listed here will be processed and stored.
